About Me
As a driven 19 year old, I am seeking professional work experience to prepare me for my future career in healthcare and activism. As I study the social and political aspects of health in my undergraduate career, I believe that hands on experience is imperative to me gaining the proper skills and traits needed to be an ethical and effective health advocate and provider. During this season of my life I am enthralled by careers in both medicine and healthcare lobbying and would love to explore career options in both of these demanding fields.
2015 - Present
Work Experience
I currently serve as a Student Coordinator for Community Outreach under the "Charities" branch of the Global Health Non-Profit. Under this position I operate as a liaison between GHC and community organizations to promote global health education, develop fundraising plans, and solicit support for international initiatives.
Under the Michigan Federation of College Democrats (MFCD) I serve as the Programs Director for Wayne State University's governing arm. I have experience in venue booking, event planning, and working with high profile individuals. During the 2016 election I coordinated former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's rally on Wayne State's campus as a liaison between WSU College Democrats and the Hillary for America organizing branch in Detroit. I also assisted in coordinating Senator Cory Booker's University address to young voters.
